    Age?

I finally got a measurement on my bp yesterday after downloading the free software from this site (thank you very much). She is 27.49" long and weighs 373g. When I bought her on Apr. 2nd she only weighed 327g. Is it normal for her to gain that much weight after only one meal with me? I weighed her about 4 days after she ate it. Can anyone give me an idea of how old she might be? The guy I bought her from thought she might be 6-8 months old. Does that sound about right to any of you? or is it impossible to guess?

    Re: Age?

Sounds like the same sort of weight gain mine is going through right now as well. She'll lose some of that whenever she poops next...LOL. Based on her length and weight, I think around six months is a good guess at age. Mine is about 30" long and somewhat over 400g and was born on July 3rd.

    Re: Age?

6 to 8 months sounds about right. They can vary quite a bit in weight depending on what they have eaten and when they have defecated.

    Re: Age?

Thank you both for the replies. I like to keep my records as accurate as possible but the former owner didn't feel that way. He didn't seem to know much about her at all. At least now I have a pretty good guess as to her age and that hopefully she is right on schedule for that age. Thanks again!

    Re: Age?

I think most of us like to keep fairly decent records of our kids. In fact, I actually downloaded that HERP program that's on here and it's allowed me to keep good records of everything.

I'd suggest using that or your own program. Either way. Hope your kids are doing good. ^_^

I have that program as well. It's an awesome way to keep track of things. Everyone seems to be doing great.

so...if I dont know exactly when my Nag was born, based on a rough length of about 24 inches, and about 350g, would it be a better guess to place somewhere under a year old?
The guy I bought him from never really said anything about age, so I'm guessing here...

    thanks...

    Re: Age?

Yes...my personal guess would be that Nag was probably born in late-summer of '05.
