    Shedding Frequency

How often to baby BPs shed? Is it different from corns? Falkor sheds about once a month (snakey pms) and I know that it'll get less frequent as he gets older... Is it the same for BPs? Gomez'll be one year old in March, and he shed right before we got him, around the end of December. He hasn't wanted to come out of his hide and explore like he usually does the last couple of days, so naturally I do the spazzy thing and fret but it's been a few weeks and he might be due.

I haven't seen any blue eye-ness and his belly is well hidden from sight (down side to how much he loves that silly skull is it's near impossible to get him out of there! ) But ya never know. The usual new mommy panic.

    Re: Shedding Frequency

When Kashmire had a little growth spurt, he shed once six weeks apart. The last shed we had earlier this month was three months since the previous shed. Just depends on how much growing is going on!

    Re: Shedding Frequency

Just had a look back through my Degei records on Rionach who we've had since she was quite young (not sure her exact date of hatch as she was a pet store baby).

She used to shed about every 4 weeks though once she did shed only 2 weeks apart during some sort of growth spurt. She seems to have settled in now to about every 5 to 7 weeks or thereabouts.

Hey there! By the way, Gomez wont be 1 until 5/14 so dont get the cake too early! The babies have been shedding pretty much every 3-4 weeks. Although I have been away for over a month and my fiance doesnt keep quite as accurate records as I do.
