    Perfect Shed

My little one just had a perfect shed. I'm so happy now I KNOW all the husbandry is good.

    Congrats!

But, you can have good husbandry and still have incomplete sheds ... I get at least a couple incomplete sheds every week, and I'm certain that my husbandry is good too!

    Re: Perfect Shed

Quick question Adam just for my own education really. Even with good husbandry, when you get incomplete sheds is it a pattern for that particular snake to do this or just a wierd once in a while thing? In other words, no matter what ones does do some snakes just have incomplete sheds anyways?

    Re: Perfect Shed

I have some that just NEVER have complete sheds .... seems like (no science behind this, just my observation) some ball pythons have "thinner" skin than others and have a harder time shedding it in one piece even in perfect humidity ... I see it in many of my hypos and aberrants, but it happens in normals as well.

And then sometimes, they are just having a bad day.
