I Decided to snap some more pictures of my early christmas present Rosie the Red Tail Boa, so here she is !

I love her eyes in this picture





And her simple little setup. A 30 gallon tall tank, there are a couple things missing in this picture like her thermometer,other black hidebox and some decorative plants....i was cleaning and wanted to snap a quick picture....i think you guys get the idea.

After further thought and a good night's sleep, I was way off. She looks NOTHING like a Surinam although she is still awesome!

Could be a pastel, though. Look at the diamonds on the sides, real nice and light, and very little black.

Yes, she is a normal redtail.

She is pretty light...most of the time, but some days she will be very dark, especialy her head, it turns a dark gray color, her head almost looks like ashes had been spilled all over her face. In the close up of the top of her head you can see some light gray speckeles, those darken up quite a bit.

Its kinda hard to notice but directly behind her head she has a little bit of rose color.

She is a very interesting looking snake i think

Rauri the bci does that dark and light phase thing and it is very neat....almost like having two snakes in one LOL. She's very pretty and yes I can see the pinkish color just where her neck begins.

Yeah its pretty cool ! she has calmed down alot and is just the sweetest snake, i think im hooked on boas now, maybe in a year or two i will buy another one, they are such cool snakes

I have seen some of the other pics you posted and she was very colorful in those. She does have an awesome tail tho! I grabbed my girl last week and she was dark almost black and orange but it was breifly and she went back to her regfular colors since...it was awesome! I don't know if that would be considered a pastel because their is still a lot of black in her but she's got a lot of black washout in the saddles and side diamonds like mentioned above.

So beautiful! Both Rosie and the setup. Her tail is utterly striking!
