Flexwatt helping ambients
I have some low ambients and I was wondering if I could place a peice of flexwatt directly on the sterilite tub on the side to help. It would be connected to my cool side thermastat set at 81.

It may help, but an easier alternative may be to just get a small space heater ($20 at wal-mart) and put it in the general area of the cage. Even if your room is getting into the 60s at night, a space heater should at lest keep that area of the room in the high 70s.

Also, I'm not sure how you have your enclosures setup, either on shelves or on the floor, but I have my Ball's tub setting with the cool side in front of a wall-mounted heater, and the hot side with a day- and night-lamp on a timer in addition to an UTH resting on top of a couple ceramic floor tiles. This entire setup is on the extra bedroom's floor, which is carpeted, thus the floor tiles. Temps and humidity (thanks to Washington State's rainy season) are perfect.

You can see the heater on the left-hand side of the photo.

Now thats a tub It is really somethign you will have to try and see if it works.. Space heaters are really the best way to go
