    Question Question About The Light

    I don't have a red light.I'm asking do I have to use it..right now the light I'm use is UVA Incandescent Reptile Lighting Basking Bulb 100 Watt..And the pet store say it will be fine.I was just checking on here just to make sure if they r right...Cloud seem to look ok..

    as long as it doesn't get too cold at nite.... i know mine would get pretty nippy without the red night light.

    The only reason you would need a red light is if the temps drop too low at night when you turn your white light off (which you should do... you shouldn't have the light on 24/7). If you don't want to get a red light, you might think about getting a UTH (under tank heater). You could leave this on all the time, even during the day, and, that way, during the day he'll have a nice warm basking area, and, at night, the temps won't drop too low for him.

    Ok well I just got back from the pet store I got the red light it is a 75..so I have a day light and a light for the night...

    What heating lamp do you reccomend? I use a under tank heater, but I feel he needs a light. HE is in a dim area of the house in a 20G tank. 32 inch M BP

    i use both red and black light, but im ordering some ceramic heat emitters for there cages.

    His in the 10 gal tank I'm going get a 50 gal tank next month.. his seem to be just fine...I put the 100 watt doing the day and the red light at night...
