    Cats

I went and got myself some culture tonight. I went to see the play, Cats. It was a really nice show, but it doesn't top Phantom of the Opera. Anyway, I am hoping to go and see Moving Out, possibly next month if I can find a sitter and get tickets. Just curious if any of you guys out there are into theatre and have any recommendations and such. I feel like such a grown up, I even have matching bedroom furniture too! Yeah I know I'm sad, but hey I'm ok with that. Besides it's way too late and I'm a little loopy, and I gotta early soccer game tomorrow too. FUN!

    Re: Cats

Cats, Joseph & the Technicolor Dreamcoat were AWESOME. We have the DVDs of them. We've watched them over and over. When FD was little she really enjoyed Rumpleteaser and dancing/singing along. They really got me hooked on ALW. He's got so many that I want to see. Saw Madonna's Evita, which was okay, but I think I'd enjoy it more w/someone else in the lead.

Saw HMS Pinafore @ Oregon State Univ. (local) and it okay. Pirates of Penzance (sp?) was a little better. Maybe I'm just not a G & S fan.......

I really enjoy the symphonies in Eugene. Took FD & saw The Nutcracker ballet for the first time this last Christmas. We both enjoyed it. We both enjoyed the two Riverdance videos and I'm hoping to get tickets to the Lion King on Broadway before it leaves Portland on the 23rd! Celtic Tiger is in Seattle (my sister & BIL live there) but I don't think FD & I will be going. With the new house, money is tighter than usual this month. I'll have to wait & see.

Enjoy! There are all sorts of different musicals/plays/symphonies/jazz ensambles. If you don't like one, try something else--you're bound to find something you like!!
