Thermometers/Hydro
Can anyone provide me with some links for the acurite thermo that people have been talking about with the hydro feature as well? I looked at Wal-Mart, but they didn't have any in the pet section... Is it in the patio section by chance?
Thanks

Should be near the hardware section. It's not a "pet" thermometer .... it's a digital indoor/outdoor unit for your home. Sometimes they refer to it as a "weather station".

Re: Thermometers/Hydro
I found mine in the Tools/Hardware section, there were a couple of different outdoor thermometers there. The thermometers everyone talks about is an indoor/outdoor type thermometer and is not pet specific, even though it works great and I love the two that I have.

Re: Thermometers/Hydro
The thermometer/hygro are usually in the section w/ the rain gauges and other in, kinda by the tools in our walmart. They would probably not be in the pet section because they are a indoor/outdoor thermometer generally used for homes that serve as reptile monitoring thermo/hygro very well. Just ask 'where are your indoor outdoor thermometers....they are usually around $15

Got mine on Ebay.
Here is a link for one from the same seller I got mine from.

Re: Thermometers/Hydro
The one I bought from Walmart looks like the one in BG's link. I got it in the hardware section for $12.99. I wouldn't bid on eBay for it, that's way too pricey.

Re: Thermometers/Hydro
Thanks all. I went back to Wal-Mart and bought two... because.... ummm... well, why have one when you can have two at twice the price!! They were only 11.59 so I figured I could get more than I expected to spend.
Anyway, finished cleaning out Jake's enclosure, and changed his substrate out, burried the probe cord, and put the probe on his cool side, and the actual unit on his warm side.
His warm side has an UTH and during the daylight hours it has a 100 watt basking bulb. His cool side has a black 100 watt basking bulb.
Nighttime readouts are: Cool side: 84.1, Warm side 90.1, Humidity, 69%
Thanks again all... this new gadget is cool! It'll help a lot with the next shedding.
