Wink Another bow season down the drain....

Well Now, Today marked the begining of the second season of my son's Pee Wee football career. Of course like last year, I got suckered in to coaching again. (I just can't say no to the little feller) Of course we will play our first game on Sept 4th and the actual game season will last until the end of october. This means no Bow Hunting for me. Any other season would not be a problem, but it is my favorite. For another year, while I could be getting eaten up by bugs sweating my but off paciently waiting for a perfect shot, I will be spending three days a week at practice and every Saturday going from town to town, and hopefully springing for lots of victory pizza parties. It would be much better if I actually knew anything about coaching Football....lol I was a defencive lineman, Don't take much thinking there other than Crush the man with the little brown thing.....lol And if the man with the little brown thing hands or throws it to someone else, crush that person. Luckally I am not the only coach, and maby one of the other guys knows something about offence.

All though it sucks that I will be missing my favorite hunting, watching them little guys (6-9 year olds) get all padded up and play real grid-iron football is a trip. Especially when they figure out that it don't hurt when you get hit or hit someone else. It is defonately the most pure, unadulterated football that is played. Them kids are out there because they want to be, not because they need a free education, or for money, Just the want to play ball. It is really a great thing. I recomend to anyone that is reading this, If you like football, forget the colledge games and pro games. Go and watch your local Pee Wee teams. It is mucho intertainmento!

Venison....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....good eatin! My hubby's got to get moving on that smoker he and a friend are supposed to be building. We already have a dehydrator for jerky which I can never seem to make enough of around here.

Great comments about football Ray. Watching the little ones play any sport really takes one back to the real sport doesn't it.

Our youngest is only 4 but his daddy is dreaming of the day he can play football and hockey. He's 1/2 Canadian so the lil fella has to play hockey or his Canadian uncles won't think he's been brought up right LOL.

You'll miss hunting season but you're building memories that you and your son will treasure for a lifetime. My dad is gone now but my brothers still talk of the years of day break hockey practises and how much they loved our dad for being there with them.

This will be my son's first season of soccer. My husband has been diligently trying to get him into hocky, but he's just not going for it. Of course my son changes his mind every other hour or so. Ray, I hope you are able to enjoy many celebratory pizza parties, and if not that maybe you'll have better luck next time ice cream!!!

I actually encourage my man's hunting practises. I love makin venison jerky (Like you, Jo, we got a dehydrator for this) and I love having all that "free" ground venison; much tastier than any beef I ever had!
Now that we live in "hicks" ville, my boyfriend only has to step out the door (and legally, walk 50 yards, or whatever the legal distance is that you can shoot from a house) and BOOM, there are some doe in our freezer. But he just does shotgun and muzzleloadin.

I am glad that I ain't the only "urbanly challenged" (read: hick) person here. lol. I never have hunted, but I do rural things like firewood gathering. Here's a pic from last week.

I honestly would deer-hunt, but I am a pansy for cold weather.

I see you are gettin some good use of that atv... you need to get one of them little carts to pull behind it. That will make your fire wood adventures much more profitable.. That thing also looked realy clean. The mud boggin gods would not approve...lol Take that thing in the mud and get dirty,, big fun!

Oh I'm voting Gin for "Redneck Chick of the Month" here at BPnet! You'd be a sure winner hon but I don't see hide nor hair of any duct tape in that pic and you know that's a requirement for us LOL.

We have a rule in our home....."it's only broke if duct tape can't fix it".
