Went to NERD today!

Hi folks,

I just got back from a fantastic visit to NERD's headquarters in Paistow, NH. The new store is terrific! The animals were spectacular (especially the 8-10 foot alligator!).

I was helped by Andy who sold me a new baby - pos 66% het for albino, pos 66% het for snow female BCI. Gorgeous animal, with a fresh mouse lump in her belly. He gave me and my 8 and 4 year old sons a tour of the upstairs breeding facilities.

We saw the Golden Child Retics (they have to be seen to be believed)! Andy took out 2 different kinds of cobra, 2 rattlers, and a puff adder for us to see (all devenomated). It was amazing. Not to mention seeing the countless baby bloods.

Going upstairs at NERD is like going backstage at a Led Zepplin concert (am I dating myself?) - you get to see the herp rock stars at work.

The 2 hour drive from Maine was more than worth it! If you're within striking distance from Plaistow - or even if you're not - you owe it to yourself to visit NERD and the magnificent store they've opened.

That's it! The kids can whine for Disneyland...we're going to NERD for a family vacation next year LOL.

How lucky you are Ken to be able to go there 2 hour drive or not (and you are dating yourself with the Led Zepplin reference but heck who am I to talk....my kid's can't believe I existed in a world where there weren't cell phones, cordless remote controls or the internet).

I've been to Diney World and I've been to NERD. DisneyWorld is a sad, pathetic comparison to NERD.

At Disney, you see animatronic creatures. At NERD, We were within striking distance of not one, but two cobras - out of the rack - in the open - cobras! They were devenomated of course, but there are ZERO LIVE COBRAS AT DISNEY WORLD!

Give me NERD every time!

That's amazing! I've been to their website and they have some incredible breeds. I could only imagine how fun it would be!
