Sudan's eyes/I think he is blind...

I have soaked Sudan twice a day for three days now.
One of his eyes actually looks like it was punctured and is withered. It
doesn't stick out like normal ball eyes do. Is flattish.
The other still has more than one blue eyecaps on it. I tried to use his
own wet tail to lightly rub his eye but they won't come off. He doesn't
like the washcloth. He will let me touch his head now but I can imagine why
he doesn't want his eyes touched if he is blind in one and who knows what
in the other.
I think he is blind in the withered eye. I put my finger right up to it and he
didn't move away or jerk at all.
Not sure about the eye with the retained caps.
Should I just keep soaking him and, if so, for how long? I don't want him to get
an RI like Camille did...although hers wasn't from soaking in a sauna box.

Any ideas or thoughts? I don't think I can do the tape thing. That scares me.
I guess I may have to accept the fact that I might have a blind ball.
I wonder if his eyes cause him any pain?

Its most likely just a dent ,it happens sometimes when the snake has a bad shed or when the humidity was too low .And I dont think your snake is actually blind, he just can't see because of his retained eye caps, they do impair the snake's vision .Personally I wouldn't recommend using tape either, but whatever works for you .Luckly I've only had that problem once ,and I just carefully peeled it off it came off really easy ,but that was after I left her crawling around a humid towel .There's also a product you can buy that helps loosen old skin,I forgot what its called , I think is "shed easy" or something like that .

it's shed aid and a soak is better then shed aid. and if the eye look like what i'm thinking. i would say its gone as i told you in your email linda i would get him to a vey and have them look at the eyes.

I have one BP who was neglected, and as a result he has a badly indented eyecap on one side. His former owner did not humidify him enough while he was in shed, and he had horrible sheds as a result. The eyecaps that were retained came off while I had him, and his one eye is still a bit smaller and slightly shriveled, but he still feeds well.
What I would do, is simply wait until his next shed cycle and at that time, UP his humidity inside his cage to over 80%. I know it seems like a bad idea to wait and not take any action, but if the humidity is right the eyecaps should come off with the shed. Also make sure that there is water offered to him daily in his cage. Soaking right now probably will not make much difference and taking tape to his eye could be even more damaging.

Hehe I should have added soemthing. One great assistant you can purchase for yourself, is an unused spray bottle. You can fill it with hot water and then spray his cage down nice and easily. I have several of them lying around, and they are indespensible when someone goes into shed.
