Possible RI
Recently I noticed our ball has started to "weeze" on exhale only and not every breath. He has no other symptoms, and his temps are consistently 85-92.
We looked in his mouth, and did not see the yellowish-white mucus.
Any suggestions?

Re: Possible RI
I do not have any direct experience with this, but from reading many posts here my best advice is to raise your temps. Maybe 94-96? Hopefully this will help and you'll get some more advice from the others!

Re: Possible RI
He may be getting ready to shed. Soemtimes the loose skin in their nose will make a whistling sound when they are breathing. Did you notice any cloudy eyes lately? If his temps are fine and humidity is a good 50% or so, then there shouldn't be anything wrong. You'll probably find a shed in one of his hides in the next couple of days.

Re: Possible RI
I guess its possible, its been since March 10th. Thanks everyone!
Went ahead and turned the temp up to 94. Should I go back down with it?

Re: Possible RI
94 on the warm side is perfect, with 83-84 on the cool side. Shouldn't really go below 93-95 on the warm side, you start asking for trouble with lower temps than that. Good luck with the shedding but if you notice it getting any worse than him just whistling when he's breathing out, then a vet trip might be in order. My girl has whistled a bit right before a shed, so I really don't think it is anything to be worried about.

Re: Possible RI
We're definetly watching him very carefully, we are watching the temps even more closely than usual, and want to make sure he's ok.
