Shedding
My little noodle is starting to shead I am trying to keep it about 80% humidity I haven’t seen him come out like this before

Is this normal
Yes this is a new terrarium he got last month and waiting for some items to add to it

Well, he might be looking for something a little more abrasive -like a branch or a flat-bottomed* rock (*for stability) to rub against to start his shed? Many snakes do seem restless at this time.

Re: Shedding
Ok
he not completely blue in the eye I’d expect that when it ready to come off haven’t thought about that
I did put a lava rock it to help him with shedding when the time comes
Thank you

Very nice ball python and enclosure.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

Re: Shedding
I spray each day whilst on shed then when the eyes have cleared I spray a couple of times each day .
They shed perfectly a few days later
Works 100%

If the humidity is too high before my BP is blue sometimes he gets restless like yours is in the photo from your first post. I usually keep the humidity at around 60-70% until I see my BP's eyes turn cloudy - then I put sphagnum moss in his hide and increase the humidity to 70-80% and he has a perfect shed each time.
I've found he'll only tolerate the high level of humidity after his eyes turn blue - I've tried putting sphagnum moss in sooner and he will actually push it out of the hide!
Also just to confirm, the lava rock is just a rock that came from hardened lava and it's not an electric/heated rock or anything like that, right? Heated rocks are very dangerous for BPs so I just wanted to be sure.

Ok I will try reducing what I have been putting in for water to help with the humidity to see what happens
