    Re: Honey and constipation?

I know what you mean. Thank you again for helping me through the whole thing from the beginning of last week.
I almost felt like when I first reached out that he thought I was blaming him or asking for something. I really tried hard to word it so it didn't sound that way. Even when reading it back. I didn't think it was accusingly worded. That is what I was kind of afraid of. He was very nice about it. But a little defensive. He asked what a urate plug/stone was because he wasn't familiar with the term since non of his snakes suffered from such a thing. I think he was kind of saying, I never dealt with that so it wasn't my fault. I didn't accuse, I also re assured him that I was asking about abnormal things the parents or siblings may have had that he knew of. Not the urate plug specifically. He then started to talk more. That is when he said he was very sorry and he would love for me to come by his booth in March and talk. I gotta feed my other BPs today, and help my Dad clean the corn snakes. So, gotta get back into the snake routine. I just went to a reptile expo/show this passed Sunday before this happened to get more mice and stuff. Bought my Dad a stripe corn snake for Xmas. Not sure how I am going to feel about seeing all the baby BPs at the next few shows I go to. Again, I'm sure in time I'll be okay. It is just fresh and it hurts. I keep seeing her little face in my head the last night I held her thinking I was going to take Xmas pictures of her the next day. Sucks. Again, thanks for listening to me vent. It helps.

I'm glad you contacted him as you did. I'm not surprised he was somewhat defensive too. Sometimes snakes (or any living thing) can have abnormalities like a narrowed colon or something that contributes to health problems, & they're no one's fault. I'm sorry for your untimely loss & I hope your heart heals- it sucks that it had to be at Christmas time, just for the sad association. But when you're ready & it's not so fresh, "get back on the horse".
