Shedding question
So with my snake I noticed a pattern of he gets less active then he turns blue then 2-3 days he sheds. I recently learned this so I've been accidentally feeding him while he's in shed. He eats and hasn't had a problem but I know it's better for him if he doesn't eat while in shed so I'm definitely going to try to not do that.
My other snake went in blue almost a week ago but she still hasn't shed. Her humidity is up, she's got damp moss in one of her hides. When I noticed she was in blue it was just before feeding day so I decided to hold off on feeding her. My question is do I try to feed her this week even though she hasn't shed yet? I feel like 2 weeks is a while without food for a 240 gram animal but at the same time it's not going to be a normal schedule in the wild. My feeding day is Friday so she still has time to shed before then but I'm trying to think of a plan beforehand. I'm also debating on just waiting until she sheds then feed her the next day or something like that.

Personally, I'd just wait until after your snake sheds to offer food. Some will eat in shed, others won't, some it messes up the shed, others not so much, but why risk wasting the food?
Patience. Snakes don't need to stick to feeding schedules- that sure doesn't happen in the wild.

So even 2 weeks is okay without food? If she was an adult I definitely wouldn't be having this debate with myself lol. Just that she's only 240 grams. I definitely want to wait but I just wasn't sure if it's okay for her if I wait. She'll definitely get a bigger, still within normal range, meal once she finally sheds though. I definitely don't want her losing too much weight. But I agree with what you said that it wouldn't be consistent in the wild anyway and she hasn't been trying to hunt so she probably wouldn't even want to eat if I offered. Lol what I'm saying is I'll wait. Just not sure for how long. Like she should shed any day now but if she goes 3-4 weeks then I'm going start thinking lights were playing tricks on me and when I saw her eyes go blue that they didn't actually do that. But I'm pretty sure they did like, 99% but that 1% is so naggy lol.

"2 weeks"? Big deal... Main thing is keep their humidity up.

True and she's in a tub so a lot easier to keep hers up than it is for my other snake who's in a glass enclosure. We manage and he has a humidity box and he's shed perfect for me but I can say the tub is very easy to keep humidity up in comparison.
