Re: Banana piebald
Looks just like a Banana Pied to me, nothing else to it. I also strongly advise not to buy a snake from PetSmart or Petco

Re: Banana piebald
I understand that that feeling and normally I'd definitely. Just fell in love with this snake when I first saw it. Plus I know my local PetSmart takes good care of their animals. I definitely know this isn't the same everywhere and I definitely don't recommend it. I'm kinda sad I got this snake here. I really would have preferred to find the snake at an expo or online and not PetSmart.

Unfortunately just because the individual store in question takes good care of their animals, doesn't mean said animals will always be healthy since their stock often comes from mills, so a given animal can potentially have lifelong issues due to the unscrupulous breeding and early life rearing practices it underwent before ever arriving at the store.
But what's done is done. Hopefully she grows up to be a healthy, beautiful snake for you.

True and hence why I hate that I got her from PetSmart... But yeah I hope she grows healthy and happy.

Hahah, former Petsmart employee here. My old store and all of the stores in my district at least got reptiles from Sandfire reptiles. Not the worst, but oh man.
That's a nice find at the price they sell them! Assuming it was the assorted fancy price.
Most recently I had to explain to someone at a local shop, "No. it was mislabeled, this is a pinstripe not a pied." on a BP.
When I was still working, we had a super snow leopard gecko show up as a regular snow. I ended up snatching up a cute little super hypo albino. We also had a trans hypo silkie bearded dragon show up as just a hypo on the invoice, so that was a crazy find.
You would really have to shock me with something like that banana pied to make me consider walking in and buying one again though. I always peek out of curiosity when picking up food for my critters though. I just wouldn't trust an animal I didn't personally work with there after seeing how many corns showed up with mites or water turtles with shell rot or septicemia.

Oh no. That's some interesting genes to mix up lol. My snake was labeled as a pied so a bit more than a fancy but still a good price for what it is. It makes sense to want to snatch up the animals that are wild, gene wise, like that. I also understand everyone's concerns with ethical breeding and not wanting people to buy wholesale animals. I really think my snake was shipped by mistake. This is the first piebald they've received in that store ever.

It looks a little light to be banana pied, but that is probably the lighting because the headstamp looks normal.
Popping at that size is probably going to be really hard, it's better for fairly young hatchlings. Probably want to get a probe kit to be sure or see if you can find sperm plugs in sheds. I'd imagine if its a male, he is probably at or close to sexually maturity depending how big your hands are.

I was going to say pastel banana pied but the head wasn’t light enough for me to think it was

I want to say the lighting is what makes it light. It's yellows are light but it has some deep oranges. I think I'll probably get a probe kit soon. The snake weighs 171 grams so still pretty small. I don't think it's close to sexual maturity but it'd be easier to tell if it was lol.
