    Question water bowl placement

I need some recommendations, I pick Kevin up tomorrow, but I'm setting his tank up tonight. Where should I put his water bowl, on the warm side or the "cool" side. He's a BP hatchling, and I'm putting him in a 20 gallon long. Any and all advice is welcome.

If you can placing it in the middle is the best bet but I’ve also seen a lot of people keep in on the cool and even the hot side. Mine is a corner dish and I keep in on the cool side. I’m no expert (got my little guy a few weeks ago) but I’m pretty sure it’s personal preference. I’d like to see what others say. Good luck with your new pet!

Unfortunately, I also have a corner bowl. He’s a hatchling who’s been slithering for close to a month. His enclosure is a 20g long, with under tank heating, ceramic bulb above, and mixed substrate to maintain humidity. I can post a pic, but I debated putting a small and large bowl on both sides just in case, lol.

On the cool side, the water won't evaporate so fast- on the warm side, it will help to raise the humidity a little (but only if you restrict the air-flow- a screen top needs to be covered most of the way to hold the humidity in).

A humid hide is better than an extra water bowl.

I covered the screen top with foil with the exception of the spot the ceramic heater sits. I also have a Zilla under tank heater, both on a thermostat. My wife likes to keep the house cool (68), so I planned ahead.
