What is the Most Evil Looking Snake? Scariest?
ok snakes are like the most misunderstood animals. most are harmless, yet alotta peeps still have an irrational fear of them that it's become a sort of stereotype for the snakes themselves. like all snakes are "poisonous" (venomous) or all pythons will crush and eat u given the chance so don't turn your back on them! i just saw a news story and thread about a BP that bit a guy on the toilet and he went to the hospital for treatment. lol u can say they were being cautious but it's kinda funny what lacking knowledge can lead to.
so snakes get a bad rap. a snake was like the embodiment of evil in the The Garden of Eden. they have no arms and legs or eyelids, they swallow their food whole, shed their skin, the tongue thing, etc. etc. IMO some of these things about them that scare people make them really fascinating! even some of the most beautiful snakes can still be scary looking to those w/ ophidiophobia.
on that note, what snake do u think is the most evil or sinister looking? it doesn't have to be a "deadly" snake. i would just like to know which snakes u think are scary based on their appearance.
i think Aspidites melanocephalus aka Black-Headed Pythons are really sinister looking (which makes them really cool in my book). they look like Woma's evil twin.

RIP Mamba

Totally the dragon snake. They have a pretty scary look to them.

Rattlesnakes are the most unsettling for me. Especially in strike position

These vipers look scary, I dunno what kind they are, I just googled viper to find it. They are very beautiful and their beauty just says "I'm venomous". They are the most stunning snake I've seen yet they also look scary at the same time.

I would agree that this is an "evil looking" snake, it looks like it was designed as a Disney movie villain lol! Personally I think it is also incredibly beautiful and very striking though.
I find any snake with a sharp head, fangs, and "eyebrows" (like a sidewinder or rattlesnake) can also make the snake look angry which some people might see as "evil".
And then there's the black mamba. No "eyebrows", but it does look like it has a serial killer smile:

To me, mambas look like any old colubrid. I can see why people think rattlesnakes look wicked, as they have those scales over their eyes that give them a scowl,
& they tend to put forth some "attitude" to complete the look. But if you knew them better (as I do), you might feel differently...it's just self-defense. I think
cobras put forth a meaner look, hissing & hooding to look bigger than they are, but try to remember that we're the real predators, we're big & scary to all of them.
Personally, I'd give a much wider berth to any cobra, because not only is their venom worse than most rattlesnakes (neurotoxic kills you faster) but they are also
much faster & may come at you or spit, whereas rattlesnakes just sit there as if saying "go away!"

I agree they look both cute and dangerous as they can be.

A ticked off bullsnake is a little intimidating. You should hear the sound that comes with all that attitude.

I have to agree that the mamba head is kinda scary due to that sinister smile, but otherwise they do look like any other colubrid.
For me, vipers are probably the most "scary" looking. Gaboons, eyelash vipers and pit vipers all have that "don't mess with me" look.
That being said, if I ever got into hots a gaboon would probably be my first.
Cobras can look intimidating once they hood up, but don't really look scary otherwise.
Another that I think can look scary is ETBs. That face, the mouth, the color. I love it all!!! But it definitely looks intimidating.
