Can stuck shed get infected?
My snake has a patch of stuck shed on her neck, and it’s been there for about 6 days now, can it get infected?

It possibly could get something bacterial or fungal going on, especially with the humidity & warmth, though it "doesn't usually" happen. I personally help remove any remaining shed from my snakes and I've never seen any such issue, just speculating. Sometimes a snake may get scratched when vigorously trying to shed, & that could infected, even though the shed stayed stuck on around it, I suppose. I wouldn't call it a big risk, but like I said, I just usually step in & help.

Like Boger said, just help him. Let him slither thru a moist towel held by you.

Re: Can stuck shed get infected?
As per suggestions above .
Stubborn sheds don't appear to be a health risk .. may feel uncomfortable to the snake and look grubby to us ..
That said I've seen reports of old skin left on the tip of their tail causing the end of the tail to drop off or get infected. ..

Ye as skin sheds if they fail repeatedly to remove the layers build up eventually cutting off bloody supply which results in necrosis and the tip falling off.
