Unhappy Purchased today- what's wrong with these scales?

    Hello, first time poster here.

I just purchased a 3 year old ivory BP today. He honestly looks pretty small for 3 years but I'm no expert. The "breeder" was feeding him live once per week. I also *think* he may have been in a rack system based on some wording. His scales look very raised or flaky, also there are a couple small pink patches (the last picture) these are on the upper sides of him, his tummy looks completely fine.

In the next couple days I will have a general vet visit, but I would really like to know sooner if anyone has any input. My other snakes are young (~6mo BP and ~6mo Corn) their scales never look like this...

Here are some pictures. Somehow I didn't catch this when meeting in person to pick up, might have been the bright daylight. The 3rd picture there are 2 small holes that look like little punctures maybe to me, but do not pick up well on camera. (sorry if I've done anything wrong with my post)

I see some scales that are folded & a few that seem to be bent up*...pretty normal IMO. Scales can get folded by how the snake lays, or by what they
cram themselves into or scrape against. Also when snakes are fed, especially live, they thrash around & can bump things in their cage in the process,
so that may be what those minor pinkish spots are...not able to see actual wounds but you can ask the vet...it's probably nothing. Everything shows
up on a white or pale colored snake that you cannot normally see on a darker colored one...it doesn't mean they don't have them too, remember that.
*Folded scales are the snake-version of a bad hair day.

to the forum, by the way.

Oh great, thank you so much I was getting so worried since my babies never have that (fed thawed) I am hoping to move this guy over to thawed as well but we'll see how that goes.

That's a good plan...you obviously care about your snakes' safety, & there's plenty of tips for switching to f/t or fresh pre-killed...very few refuse when it's done right.
