Strangest thing my ball has ever done?
So, as I am typing this right now, my ball is trying to get underneath his water bowl? He has leveraged his back half on his nearest hide and his using his head to push up his water bowl, and I guess is trying to get underneath it? He is actually successfully lifting it up, and I have no idea what to do about it. I'm a little nervous because I don't want him to get stuck or hurt himself.
Okay so I looked over after I finished that sentence, and I saw that he had gone completely underneath and his head was peaking out the other side. So, the water bowl was completely resting on half of his body. I have taken it out for now, but I am completely dumbfounded. It's not like its a light bowl either. We just upsized him to a much bigger one almost 2 months ago. He has also been quite a bit more active tonight than he usually is, but I didn't think anything of it until I saw him starting to do this.
I noticed him out and about at around 9 pm, and when he was out then, he was getting a drink of water, and then he was rubbing his face on the glass of the tank. I thought maybe he could be about to shed. Since he is albino, the signs of shed are sometimes kind of hard to see. He also had substrate on his face near his nostrils and one of his eyes so I thought maybe that could be bothering him. I got him out and got the pieces of substrate off with a q-tip. Then I just handled him and let him chill with me for a little bit. After about 20 minutes or so, I put him back and he immediately went back to his hide.
Probably somewhere between 12 and 1 am is when he came back out (it's 1:50 am right now). He was roaming around a lot, lurking around and sticking his face up to the top of the terrarium. I thought he was going back into his hide at one point but he got half way in and then came right back out. Not long after, he started the water bowl shenanigans.
He is back in his hide now, but I think that just might be because he is mad at me for taking his bowl. I don't want to leave him without water for too long, but I also don't want him to try it again while I'm asleep, and then something bad actually does happen. His temperature readings are good, and his humidity level is great right now. Is there any possible explanation for this behavior? Any suggestions on what I should do?

What are your temperatures.
A few things could cause this, Too Hot, Too Cold or even him having an issue with his hide, I know it sounds stupid, but who knows the mind of a snake.
Has he recently been in the blue and going to shed. Just a few options to examine.

Re: Strangest thing my ball has ever done?
Definitely sounds like something they do when it is too hot in the enclosure, it's common for them to soak in the water bowl or try to get under it because it's normally the coldest spot in the enclosure. Make sure to check the temps of the hot side and cold side with a temp gun to be accurate

Re: Strangest thing my ball has ever done?
How big is his new hide? If it's too big, i'd suggest filling it with moss so it's more cozy for him.
To be honest, they all do weird things. My 1800g female likes to hang on the LED wires so i constantly need to tuck them. They're weird creatures.
