    Wink fecal question(lol)

So I have completed my second feed the other day and went to the vet yesterday all was healthy no big warning signs or anything. He wanted a stool sample to make sure all the good parasites are there and all the bad ones aren't lol. My concern was I think I am losing the feces in my repti-bark(LOL) I do clean up underneath the hides every couple of days since I can't seem to spot the feces. But now that I need one for a test...

I honestly have no idea what I am asking here I read the sheet and it stated poop looks like poop(got that) The vet said the intestinal track and everything was fine he even double checked when I asked and was concerned and was very helpful and even provided multiple different sources of even more information on ball python care which was welcome.

So the actual question is the vet recommended a warm soak to try and encourage if this persists(How do I do this safely?)
I will comb over the enclosure with a flashlight and see if poor lighting led to me missing a detail.

One more question would be how often do they defecate? Also the vet did not want to probe unless I wanted to breed(Which I have to wait until she(supposedly the vet thinks female but stated he could be wrong) is mature enough she should be juvenile I don't know the typical weights but she turned out to be 220 grams.

    Re: fecal question(lol)

when you snake does produce a bowel movement you will see it (unless your snake is having diarrhea). It looks like any other stool just with a fair amount of hair in it from the rodents. Mine only goes after a shed or 3ish meals (whichever comes first). Since he only eats every three weeks or so, he usually produces a sizable stool about every 2.5 months or so.

As for the warm soak, you fill a rubbermaid type container with just enough water to come about 1/3 of the way up the snakes sides. You don't want him to try and swim or feel like he's floating. The water needs to be no warmer than 90*F, 80-85* should be fine (cool to us, but fine for the snake). Keep in mind that water that shallow will cool quickly and you don't want to chill him. If he should go for you, just scoop it into a baggie or disposable seal-able container and stick it in the fridge. The sample will stay fresh for a day or so - so be sure to get it to the vet asap
No cage is too large - nature is the best template - a snoot can't be booped too much
