I use small plastic cages temporarily for some things but never for transport: in a small space, your snake has a lot more leverage to pop the tops off, and you
don't want that while you're driving. Plus, no insulation... And snakes usually stay surprisingly calm in cloth bags...the lack of a view helps them relax.

I use the pillow case + the tub (sterilite latch box style) because snakes are escape artists and the last thing you want is to have one loose in your car. They can and have gotten themselves out of pillow cases, and they can push their way out of the totes, but I've never heard of one getting itself out of both.

    Re: Vet visit(help lol)

Use a good old pillow case or snake bag. It’s dark but they can still breed. Maybe put them in a bad and then into your plastic bin.
