    how hard would it be to tame a 3 yr old bp so it could be handled if it was basically never handled?

    It might be pretty tough. Was it wild-caught or captive bred? If it was recently wild-caught, as a subadult, it's already lived its life in the wild and would therefore be extremely difficult to "tame." You could not really blame it, since it had been a wild animal thus far...

    As hard as it'd be to tame an adult WC BP.. maybe easier since it'd be used to the presence of humans at least.. unless of course it was abused.

    Ball pythons each have different personalities. Some may take a day to tame down, some a year, others never at all. I have several WC males and females that were imported as adults and some are as tame as my captive bred babies, and others are a little .... "testy" .... conversely, I also have some captive bred adults that i've raised up that I swear hate my guts! ... It's all up to the animal and how much time you put in with it.

    The snake is the last one from a breeder who is getting out of the business and said he would give me the snake its 30 gallon tank and everything in it (substrate,lights, heating equip. ect.) for free because wants its out by the end of the month. the snake was around people just not handled very often.

    The key word here is "free". Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. If some one were to offer me a free ball python I wouldn't care if it ever got tame.
