Tank mould

I think I found a little bit of mould on a branch I have in my snakes tank. After washing all the decor in my snakes tank I put the log back in. It took quite a few days to dry which I think led to the possible (I think it was) mould. Tiny white specs were found on the wood! After it dried I was able to wipe off these marks. Is this mould dangerous for her? After I wiped it off it seems ok.

If it was my cage I would probably just replace it. Better to be safe and not risk it.

I would definitely ditch it. When in doubt, throw it out.

You can always grab a branch from somewhere outside. Toss it in your oven for an hour at 300 degrees. Any parasites will die and you don't have to worry about it drying or harboring mold.

Chucking it out is an option unless you paid a fortune for it as many people seem to do

I get all mine from the local woods and parks though. ...

If it's a truly wondrous looking branch - ( they actually exist , folks - see photo below ) you could always give it a good hose down and rub the mold off and spray with some F10 or similar?
