While snakes get tired of eating frozen-thawed after a while?

Will snakes, much like humans, eventually get tired of eating the same thing? My ball python, who had been eating frozen-thawed rats, just went several months without eating. Today, I finally gave her a live mouse (I had been paranoid about a live mouse attacking her) and she took it. Is it possible she just got tired of eating frozen rats?

No, there may be something else at work though...like maybe too much food so she wanted a break. It's very dangerous to have a snake eating f/t prey &
then suddenly switch to live (of ANY kind)- rodent bites can be serious & even fatal (& especially the infections that follow) not to mention the scars aren't
pretty either.

Some snakes (those less finicky than BPs typically are) do fine with some variation of prey, but with BPs, you're better off staying the course, though it's a bit
late for that advice, eh?

Sometimes the problem is not WHAT you're offering, but HOW. The temperature, the presentation...& also, thawing incorrectly can cause spoilage that YOU
may not notice but which turns off your snake's appetite.
