Can anyone recommend a decent humidifier?
Hello, all. I figured this would be the place to ask this question- I'm looking for a decent humidifier.
I won't actually be using this for my python, but rather, for my hermit crabs. However, I know that many people use such devices for pythons, so I thought I'd ask here.
I looked at the ZooMed ReptiFog, but reviews were abysmal, some saying they don't last more than a few months (and it's a $50 machine). I was wondering if anyone can recommend something /cheap/, compact, with a decent-sized reservoir, that last for a long time and can keep a high (around 80%) humidity for at least one complete 12-hour day with a full tank. I find that my spritzing (and I /soak/ their habitat) is not always sufficient, especially since I have rearranged air flow in that room to cool my fish tank opposite the crabs. I come home from work to find inactive crabs in about 30-40% humidity- NOT good!

Would it be possible to use the same bedding we do to help maintain levels? Coco husk helps with humidity very well.

I use a sand/coco blend, topped with live sphagnum, but it loses effectiveness throughout the month. Plus, with the redirected air, my fan pulls moisture from that corner and I have no other place to put them.
