Isn't it rule of thumb or something to feed them an animal that is as wide as the fatest part of their body? I herd that somewhere or read it during some of my research.
yea same girth or just a little bigger than the girthies part of the body
This might be true with some snakes, but with ball pythons, you can actually maintain them very well feeding meals that are smaller than that. The biggest prey items my ball pythons get are small rats (even my 3600+ gram females). They will eat more consistenly on smaller food items.
