Re: Internal parasites?
Never heard of a $5 Fecal. Not even for a Snail in the US.
As far as your snakes weight. I have a feeling you miss calculated the weight when you got him..
Thats was a pretty wild & stressful time if you remember.
Your snake looked very healthy, not malnourished.

Re: Internal parasites?
I think he wrote $18.50, and might be Euros, which are much higher than dollars.

I'm a she
But yeah I forgot that you use a point instead of a comma in the US. I meant to write $18.5 (which is 15€).
It's a normal price. I looked at a few different vets for reptiles and all them were around that price range.
Male Ball Python (Bumblebee het 100% Clown) - Friedrich
Female Cat (unknown heritage, was an orphaned kitten) - Shirley

Re: Internal parasites?
In the US, to do anything else legally a vet has to do an exam to establish a doctor/patient relationship in order to be able to prescribe medications if needed and to give any kind of medical advice. That’s why the vets here won’t just blindly do a fecal. The ones that do are running a risk of problems if anything ever happens and someone gets “sue happy”.

Re: Internal parasites?
Id be surprised if there were parasites. Its certainly possible. Im only basing this on the initial posts/threads and questions the OP had when he received his first snake. Not being a ball buster (lol Ball) but this is the young guy that had 100 post in his first 3 weeks and he was very nervous. With all that said it would of been easy to make a mistake in weighing when be first got him.

My local non-exotic vet who sees my dogs will do fecals on my reptiles at $25 each without an exam, but she only looks for worms not crypto.
