Question Hemipenes or scent glands pop out while pooping?

    Is this... a thing? LOL

I'm curious after seeing a friend say she saw what she thinks were hemipenes pop out of her hognose while it pooped, who both probed and is visually female. But because she saw these "hemipenes", she concludes her hognose is male.

Is there something other than hemipenes that might show up while a snake poops?

Sure, anal tissues can be expressed as well as scent glands during defecation. If they remain expressed its possibly and potentially a prolapsed rectal tissue. Especially if it's a confirmed female animal.
Stay in peace and not pieces.
