Lol no worries a digital thermometer that has probe which is on top of the glass and below the substrate.

Re: Broken shed help
My BP is not eating since 3 months and not moving a lot. Yesterday he started moving and i noticed that he has shed during this time but the shed was stuck all over him. This is what i did:
I filled my bathtube with water and i had him in my hand. I started soaking him in water and getting him out and peeling the stuck shed. I kept repeating the process, soaking him in water and peeling the stuck shed. The most difficult part was his head and around his neck because he kept moving trying to prevent me from doing the peeling. I removed the stuck shed from the eyes by rubbing a wet towel very gently on his eye and repeating that. I had to rub the wet towel gently on his eye maybe 15 times until the shed dropped out. All of this happened yesterday, it took me an hour to remove all the stuck shed. i hope this will help you

After the soak , I'd have just let him slither in the wet towel for ten minutes applying very GENTLE pressure with your hands - the skin comes off on the towel - safer ( for both of you ) than peeling the skin off with your fingers .
