Periscoping?
So booplesnoop does this at least three nights a week. She stays this way for hours? What the heck is she doing it for?

Re: Periscoping?
I remember reading that they did it in the wild to see over grass and the like.

Re: Periscoping?
Well if it’s at night, I’d think that’s normal. Since bps are nocturnal they become more active at night. Your little noodle is just looking around. When I have Calliope out and let him just slither around on my bed, he does that a lot.

It's me! She kept booping herself when we got her so I named her boop. But I wanted more so my friend said Booplesnoop and it stuck!

Re: Periscoping?
Mine does the same thing at night, though he's lazy and usually scopes up to the highest point of his branch and rests his face there for hours. usually leaving his body in his hide like some weird long-necked turtle. I think they are just observing the world. I imagine that their little snake brains have some difficulty day-dreaming, which is why they sit like that so long - it's hard work to imagine stuff when your brain is mostly sensory based. lol
No cage is too large - nature is the best template - a snoot can't be booped too much

When I put Maze on my bed for explore time she loves to periscope by the edges. Is she judging distances? Staring at the wall intently to see if it will reveal its beige little secrets? Who knows lol.

It is cute! Most of her body is still in her hide. Sometimes she rests her head, most of the time not. She is just up in the air staring...for hours!
