New Addition. Russo White Diamond (BEL)

I have pair of med/high white pieds and love them. I also wanted a full white snake and thought of a white diamond.
Like you, I want a full bright white and would be very disappointed to see any pattern and or color show up.
Is there a 100% bright white adult that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

she looks kinda like a Pastel Champagne. what exactly was the pairing that produced her. the dam is a White Diamond, what was the sire - a Russo something? i would get her under a black light. maybe u will discover some cool patterns.



the "White Diamond" in that pix also has a buggy left eye. i wonder how common that might be. although this is a small sample, but this discussion is leading me to believe the White Diamond's rep as the purest white snake ain't really all that (unless there's something else at play and they aren't pure Super Russo's (White Diamond) ).

If you mean purest white snake of BPs, maybe. If you mean snakes in general, then no. Check out Princess Diamond Boas aka leucistic boas. They are pure white but also pure cash haha.

And i personally would pissed if i was buying a snake to be pure white and i got one with a peach stripe down its spine. I mean if it eats good etc and you like it, then thats great and it is a good looking snake but like i said. I personally would have let Vin know that you were rather disappointed and was buying the snake based on them supposedly being a pure white, not a white with a peach spine stripe.

Yeah I see the faint hint of yellow stripe on that momma as well. I'm sorry your baby didn't turn out as you were led to believe she would, she's still a gorgeous girl though!

They are also not supposed to be in this country which is why breeders tried to rename it 'fire' to hide the PD offspring from being exported back to Brazil (they are BA (BCa) and BI (BCi) crosses) and IMO I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole even if I had $$ to burn. just some info for ya

Your right I see that Bug Eye in Zina's pic and that is known from getting BEL from pairing a different Morph than Super Russo's I have heard..( also a characteristic I've read in some of the Black Eyed Lucy's) Thats why I don't trust pics online..anyone can advertise a white-ish snake as whatever.. Vin says he pairs WD to WD.. I mean why wouldn't he, he was the first in 2001 to get this snake and is known for his Super Russo's. She is my pet so Im not going to try and do anything about it but as Sauzo said Im a good bit upset about the whole deal and the fact that I told him she wasn't right from the day I got her.. Im not someone who see's something and just buys it... I wait, look into it, learn ect... And now I feel like I got taken and I went with Vin because I know he is a honest business man not a fly by night ... But thats the end of my complaining.. We will all see what she grows into and I couldn't be happier with her disposition and health and thats most important to me.

Yup I did just that Sauzo.. The day I got her I emailed him and asked about the markings. He said "they are all born like that but she will be pure white".
Thats his exact words in the email i have.
So yup I'm angry. Good thing she is a cutie hahahahaha

Oh i know but they are still awesome. And heck, i know Jeremy Stone did a bad thing but heck, look at some of the stuff Tom Crutchfield did with bringing in stuff lol. Not condoning it but i would be pretty hard pressed to not get one if i had the cash lol.

oh i know about some white snakes. i own a pair of hard to find vibrant all white snakes - one w/ red eyes and another w/ black eyes w/ red pupils.

i also have a paradox Leucistic.

i simply think the Super Russo/White Diamond doesn't hold up to it's reputation w/ the examples provided in this discussion, esp from the OG breeder himself.

yeah, it's hard to let go of your pets even if they are no the prettiest. you raised them and you've bonded. it's the same reason i have my 0.1 Normal.

kinda along the same lines as to what happened with my cat, found her as a stray when she was 4-5 months old took her to the vet and she had feline leukemia. now shes missing 50% of her fur but otherwise is perfectly healthy and i still love her to death

I agree.. His statement to me about them being the cleanest and speaking for themselves is False!
... And wow you have gorgeous snakes!!!!!!!! THAT is what I was looking for as far as a clean Color
