For now you can get a damp warm washcloth or towel, not dripping, and put it and the snake in a pillowcase, tied off on the end, for thirty minutes. Let your lil guy go wild, and he should get off quite a bit of the stuck shed. If not, re-wet the washcloth so it's warm again and let him have another mini-rave.

Well this is interesting. Started with him in a small cloth sack with warm rag in it and misted it with warm water and put back in his tank. Didn't have it tied off well enough and 3 min later he is out and roaming around his tank. Decided to try and put him in a small Tupperware rectangular container with warm water and warm towel over and he kept his head underwater for about a minute. Water barely came up to halfway on side of his body but it still freaked me out so I kept the corner of the towel pulled back a bit and two min later he's out of the tube making a mess.

This is stressing me lol. Poor little guy. I think he really is not happy with me right now. I put him back in the sack with fresh warm water.

This little guy is sooooo much calmer when taken out. Still a little shy when I slowly take his hide off him but he relaxes quite a bit when handled. I have tried to establish a routine with him, wash my hands with the same smelling soap when handling, etc. Such a joy to have around.

Just ordered his new home....AP Cage - T10. Should take about 8-10 more weeks. Humidity in his current setup is a debacle, even with Sphagnum Moss and misting. I am being told the RHP should heat everything nicely - our home stays 69-72 year round. I may get the heat tape just in case but Ali at AP Cages said I wouldn't need it. I am using Eco Earth substrate. Not sure if I will stick with that or not.

Just had an awesome shed even tho our exo-terra tank is the worst for humidity! It was serious work each day misting, wetting the rag on top of screen, filling up humidifier next to his tank every 8 hrs but his shed was all one piece and terrific! So happy. Fed him a couple days ago and got him on the scale tonight. He has basically doubled in size since we got him in October at 200g. He is right at 399g. So much fun having him out!

Also ordered him a new AP T10 setup that will hopefully be here in about 30 Days...can’t wait!!!

Love that little guy! He looks like my new little buddy I picked up two days ago! Yeah, I made the exo-terra mistake as well. Keeping my office at 50-60% with a humidifier is annoying for me, but good for him, so that’s what’s important. Gonna order a T8 on Feb 1st (payday). Mine is still in his acclimation stage, and I fight myself every day just to leave him be! I’m going to try feeding him on Friday and see how it goes. Good luck with that gorgeous guy!
