Right now im in New Jersey for thanksgiving, ive only been here two days but already i miss my snakes so much, i wonder what they are doing all alone in thier cages without me keeping an eye on them.Im really worried about them.
Ive been all stressed out worrying about them day and night.
One of my sisters friends is coming over to feed the fish and hamster but i told him to leave the snkes alone becauase im paranoid he will not put the top back on and he is really not comfortable being around them. I feel bad, i change thier water out everyday, now they are going a week without fresh water. :?

I left a young cornsnake for 2 weeks once. He was fine. Don't worry, they'll be ok.

I left my BPs for a week over the summer, and I really missed them while I was gone. I did not have anyone feed them during this time, though my mom went to our place to feed the fish and re-feed the cat and change his litter box twice during the week. This was good because I could call her for an update on how the snakes were doing. (basically not doing much of anything, lol)
The snakes were fine when we got home, though there were some nasty "surprises" to clean up. The cat missed us more than anyone else!

I was away from all my reptiles and other critters from June 22 (the day my boy got hit by a car) till July 30 (when he was discharged from the hosp.), we were in Columbus at Childrens Hosp. That was just a few months ago. I hated it too, cause not only did I have the stress of worrying about if my boy was going to live through the whole ordeal, but I worried about all my critters, esp. my reptiles. But I did have my hubby here during the week to care for them all. He did an outstanding job taking over my reptiles and other critter duties I do as a housewife. He would come out to Columbus and see me and our son on weekends cause we could not really afford for him to take that long off, even with the potential our son may have died. I could look forward to seeing him on weekends, and getting a report as to how all the critters were doing, he was also awesome about asking questions on thier care (reptiles) if he could not find it in my notes on each of the animals; yes- I keep very impectable records, and they came in handy for something other than vet type care. I was lucky, but just the same I missed them. I sure can be sympathetic on how you are feeling right now. It will be OK, try to enjoy yourself as much as you possibly can. I think we get to caring for our reptiles as much as we would any other family member or pet, and that separation anxiety will be there like it or not.
