    Bubbles...our Banana

Hey so our banana just shed today, and I️ LOVE his colors.....I️ was wondering...is he just a Banana or is there more to him? I’m not suggesting that there is, I’m just curious because of where we got him. Thanks for the heads up!

His patterns look SIMILAR to my banana pastave. However, I think his head would be more faded if he has pastel, and mojave kinda cuts back on the freckling. So maybe there is some mojave in him? Either way, even if he is a single gene banana, he is still beautiful.

EDIT: AI noticed some are saying maybe butter/lesser. The only reason I dont think he has butter or lesser is that I think that gene eliminates the freckles.

When I purchased my banana pastave, I went to Garrick Demeyer asking him for a banana that wont have many freckles. He is where I got the info about mojave keeping freckles to a minimum, and butter/lesser eliminating the freckles.

    Here is what Garrick said

As far as bananas and coral glows (same thing) goes, there are a few types that don't get the black spots. Any with butter or lesser in them won't develop spots. The downside is they don't have the purple colors that some other morphs do. Bananas with mojave in them will get virtually not spots and they have more purple in them than lesser or butter.

Possibly. Or he could have one of the other hundreds of genes in him that are out there lol. It’s too hard to tell without knowing what his parents were. Without knowing that, everything is just a guess.

we really need to get those scientists to sequence the bp genome. that way we can track the genetic lineage.
