Is a 80x48x50 cm cage good for a ball python?
Was looking at 2nd hand cages and this size popped up.

That is roughly the footprint of a cb70 tub which many people keep adult ball pythons in.

I think you will probably be fine keeping an adult male in there, but may be a bit small for an adult female or larger adult male.

So why several freaked out when i wrote 4 days ago that i want to keep my 4 feet adult male in a 60x80x100 cm cage? Which is bigger in floor space and height than 80x48x50 cm.

I think you currently may still have a misunderstanding of what people mean by "floor space".

Its obvious that the floor space is 80x48 and the height is 50. The people posting above understood correctly. Normally the height is mentioned last.
My cage is 60x80 and the height is 100.

Oh right, I'd missed you mention your adult male is already 4 feet. I would say the size 60x80 is acceptable for an average male, but I believe it would be more beneficial to the ball python if your height were placed on its side. Much more room to stretch out length-wise is nice!

Dutti you're making it loud and clear you are still unhappy with the feedback you received on your thread. It would be in good taste to keep your own personal objections in regards to your situation in your own thread and not derail OP's

Sorry OP, for some reason I thought that Dutti had made the thread after seeing the comment.
Your 80x48x50 is acceptable for a smaller~average male.

It is fine for the first two years of a young ball pythons life, but for an adult? Too small imo, most adult snakes will get big enough that they will be a bit cramped in such an enclosure.
