Do bp's show increased actvity before feeding day?

Fluffy is an enormous chow hound. He is on a 5 day scheduled. 3 days before next feed he starts peeking out of his hides when someone walks by. 1-2 days before a feed be excavates his his cage and rearranges the furniture to the point I can actually hear him moving things around in the middle of the night. Feed him a day late and it's mayhem.

Just wait until they get older. I have to feed him at a certain time on the same day and only if his head is out of his hide. He also no longer swallows his prey, he some how causes it to instantly teleport into his stomach.

Man I wish that was mine's cue but he loves staring to the point. Like. It's bad. To the point if I cover his remaining glass panel when he seems to be getting stressed out we'll hear him banging around in there at 5 am ripping down all the probe cables and the ladder and (before these new heavy hides) trying to toss those against the wall and then burrow under his water bowl.

I wish he had one set cue for "hey I'm hungry".

Instead he's been chafing me and acting like I've starved him for years one week then acting like the rat insulted his life decisions (why didn't he become a snoctor???) and reminded him that his mother told him he'd never amount to anything for the next three.

Mine definitely anticipates food. The night before she's all over the enclosure, and the night of she is entirely fixated on the spot I usually use to peek into the enclosure. She knows exactly where the food comes from lol. I came home today and she was curled up staring at that spot. With how intense her appetite is I have her on a 5 day schedule.

Mine is on every 5 days as well. She is 2 months and is looking to eat 3 days after feed it seems. And yes the rat is big enough lol. Think she's a little piglet.

As suspected his feeding response was awesome today. Friday will be the first day of his 5 day cycle, I'll keep everyone updated!
