What is this red and white spot on his belly

What is this red and white spot on his belly? I thought it was a sign of shed but he shed over a week ago and it's still there. Is it just part of his color, or a sign something is wrong with him?

D you have an UTH? What temp is it set at? I don't really see anything abnormal.

Anyone else want to chime in?

I do have a uth it is set on a thermostat to heat to 87 degrees. Temp on the thermostat reads 86 degrees, temp on the thermometer under the substrate reads 89. Temp with temp gun reads 88.5.

Did you just recently start using the tstat? It looks almost like a burn, or maybe that the snake was dropped and has some belly trauma. What kind of substrate do you use? I've seen threads where certain mulches or substrates have dyed a snakes stomach weird colors, but I would think that it would be the majority of the stomach and that it would go away with shedding if that were the case.

Yes he is eating normal and acting normal. I have had the Tatar since the beginning. he hasn't been dropped. Currently I'm using Forest Floor bedding cypress mulch, and moss. I will be switching to coco mulch next week.
