For 1 and 2 I would say that's correct for 99.9999% of snakes.
That said, I have a 50% SD female retic that doesn't "cuddle" like a dog or cat but she is a lot more willing to interact with people than my other snakes. If she's not in a shed cycle or within a day or so of eating she will come right out of her enclosure, crawl on you, explore your hair, etc.

Aww that sounds adorable, hopefully my little guy will grow up to be like that
