Considering a BP and had some Questions.

I understand that a tub is not great for being able to look at and adore the new member of the house, but with a standard vivarium you shouldnt have any humidity issues (to be fair in London humidity is high anyway). Only thing is with viv's if they're wooden you cant use a UTH and have to use heat bulbs which arent always fun. But if you're in the US you should be able to find a plastic viv easy

Many do use heat mats inside wooden vivs to be honest ..

i was told that would lead to thermal trapping and then heat burns as they get bigger?

Personally I think wood vivs are gross because they can't be cleaned and sterilized as thoroughly as other materials.

They're commonly used for slimmer snakes Corns / Kings etc but not suitable for the heavier bodied ones like Burms or big Boas where ceramics are used .

That's a bit of a generalisation .... Thats like saying all those millions of wooden chopping boards used by top chefs around the globe are unhygienic - wooden vivariums are not just bare wood , they're coated / treated wood and they wipe down perfectly well . I use diluted F10 which is used by most vets and pet stores ...
