    Feeding

Ok. My Spider is consistently taking frozen mice. But my Enchi hasn't ate for 2wks, and my Pastave hasn't ate for 3wks. So, should I keep trying each week. Or try feeding them live.

2 and 3 weeks is nothing really.

If F/T is what you want to feed I would not recommend feeding live unless you are absolutely prepared to do this long term.

The first thing I would suggest is to give us details to see if something need troubleshooting or if it is one of those normal stage where the vast majority of BP will go of feed.

    Snake size (weight)

    Enclosure size

Temps as well as type of thermometer and where the reading is taken from

    Type of substrate

    Hide used

Well I was told they were all on f/t. Got my spider from same place I got the other two. Spider takes it like nobody's business. Enchi not interested. And Pastave acts like he's afraid of it..

    Re: Feeding

    Try this:

Thaw out the mouse/rat and put it inside the BP warm hide and then leave the room / turn out lights. Placing it in the warm hide allows it to heat up the meal a bit or keep it warm. This has worked very well for me with pickier eaters and I have one female that eats exclusively using this method. It will usually be gone within 1-2 hours, but I would wait a day and see if they take it.
