My BP is Staying on the Cool Side?
Hey everyone, this past week I've notice a behavior change in my BP. He usually stays in his warm hide (which has a hot spot of 90) but now he has been staying in his cool hide (around 80-82). He wasn't like this before and just loved his warm hide. The whole tanks air temp is 80-82 and humidity is on point. Shouldn't be a secuity issue due to identical hides that are at a slight angle facing the back of the tank so i don't disturb him if I were to walk by. Is this something I should be concerned about, or am I overthinking it?
Edit: I should also metion that today was feeding day after a couple days of observing this behavior, and I had him follow a rat to the middle of the tank to see what hide he would pick after eating, and just like that he went right back to the cool hide.

If your temps are as you say I would not worry about it and just let him do his thing.

Re: My BP is Staying on the Cool Side?
I had a similar scare when I first got my boy. When I first got him for the first few months at least he spent all his time on the hot side then randomly changed sides. My reaction was very similar to yours, I was scared I did something wrong, but he still ate just fine and didn't seem stressed and did a bit more research and learned that they just change sides sometimes. Now every few months or so he changes back and forth. Sooo what I'm trying to say is your little one should be fine ^-^
