Question after tank clean
My bp just gave me her first poop and did a complete tank clean, my question is, I know it's normal for them to hide under the substrate but mine has never even tried to go under hers until after the tank clean, is this gonna be a normal thing now or is she just pissed cause she had to spend time in her holding cell for awhile?

Re: Question after tank clean
Really when you have a poop, you should just spot clean the area. If she's new, she's probably a bit stressed with the change of smells and moving and stuff.

Re: Question after tank clean
We have had her for a month Saturday so she's adapted already but I did add a new hide in her tank today, maybe that's it. I would have loved to spot clean but she got it all over her new hide some of her fake plants and quite a bit on the substrate so I figured I would give it a complete cleaning. How long do you think she will stay under there? And do you think she will do this regularly now?

Re: Question after tank clean
She should be fine. If all parameters are good, she's eating regularly this could be just her being a BP. Ball Pythons really just love to burrow if they have the ability to.

Re: Question after tank clean
Yeah she's come out and I was able to put her second hide back in and she came out to drink and roaming around right now
