Macro lens practice ft multiple species

Screwing around with my macro lens is awesome, when the snakes stop moving so I can get a proper pic

    Holy crap.....

And here I thought I was hot stuff because I finally upgraded my phone and I've taken a number of great pictures. I really need to invest in a proper camera. These shots are amazing.

Thank you! I 100% recommend getting a nice camera, this is the first camera that can really do all their colors and scales justice.

    Awesome pics!

I have a Nikon D3000 that I haven't used in a few years. Think that is up to the challenge with a macro lens? And by macro lens do you mean 55mm, 90mm or 150mm?

Caveat, I don't know much about my camera and lenses.
