The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

How heavy is your boa? And what are those clips rated to for weight? I like the sky hides but I'd be worried about Rosey falling as she weighs 12.7 lbs. Worried if the hide flexes or the clips give.

That is a pretty brilliant idea to mount hides to the ceiling like that. Only downside I can see is if you need to get them out and they just wanna stay in their hide.

Butch is not heavy, he is a small Boa. But Lizzy, my largest Carpet is 13.5 pounds IIRC. The key is to use the big clips, 40 pounders and use a lot! I use 13 clips for 3 sides. That's important because the hides are warped a bit and do flex.

Lizzy, Coastal Carpet on the hunt.

I can see no reason to ever pull my snakes out of their hide. I always leave them alone when they are in their hides.

If its feeding day I just blow on the rat towards the hide and the snake's head will pop out to check it out. Then it's up to you to coax it out or feed from the hide.

Use mirror wall clips on standard RB hides. 20 pound clips for smaller hides and 40 pound, clips for larger hides.

Use as many as you can and fit them fairly snug so the hide won't fall when the hide flexes from the snake's movement.

I found that three clips in the front is not practical for removal of cleaning, so just one clip or a screw with silicone to act as a stop is good. Some sort of stop is necessary because without it the hide can scoot forward due to the snake's movement. Also when some of my snakes are active and in escape mode they will push on the back of the hide and slide it out.

Three clips up front is a hassle for removing

Just one clip or screw up front is best

This FAQ might help you out:
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/faq....b3_attachments

You'll have to have the photo uploaded somewhere (like photobucket) and then you can input the URL using the 'attach image' function. You cannot upload directly from your PC.
If you're on a phone, the tapatalk thing mentioned earlier I think is the way to go, I don't know, I don't use my phone for internet.
    Hope that helps!
