Egg incubation temperature question
First clutch of bp eggs! Worried about temps. I'm using a Reptibator with an egg box inside. Had it set up for a month before use. Thought I had temps all worked out and set, but now that the eggs are in there I'm having trouble getting the temp to 88/89 degrees. I'm not changing more than a degree at a time. eggs were layed on the 26th. I have a temp+humidity prone in the egg box with the eggs that's reading 86.7 degrees, humidity is 99%. I know the temps aren't supposed to fluctuate, so should I continue slowly increasing temps, or leave as is? Super paranoid 😫, any advise would be great! Thanks

The probe in the box is probably giving you a better reading than the one in the Reptibator since that would be set somewhere in the edges of the interior. I would bump up the heat by a degree and see what happens to the temp in the egg box. Eggs will hatch at 86 it will just take longer.

Congrats on the eggs! Do you have a lid snugly fitted onto the egg box? The 86.7F is a couple of degrees low but as piedlover said the eggs will hatch at that temp but will take longer. The humidity percent is great.

Re: Egg incubation temperature question
Congrats on the eggs. I typically incubate at between 87 and 87.5 now and everything works out well. Usually get my first pips about day 61 to 62. I also noticed that since I started incubating at lower temps the babies are hatching with pretty good size and strong feeding responses. If you can get the temps to stay in the 87 range I think it should be fine. Best of luck to you.
