Pleas help!!Plexiglass fogging up
So I just got my new BP and put him in his enclosure.. It is a melamine enclose with Felix tape UTH and coconut bedding.. I have the thermostat set to 95 and the hot spot is reading about 90.. the thing I'm not sure about is the plexiglass is fogging up.. that seems like it could be a problem.. Should I Lower the stat..

Sounds more like a humidity issue. What is your humidity at?

Your humidity is probably too high. What is your RH?

What is RH? I have him in my room and it's pretty hot in there to begin with.. the ambient temp in the enclosure is around 76.. Should I move him into the basement where it's cooler? I'm kinda freaking out

What is the temp outside the enclosure? That temp difference can cause fogging.

I am going to go get a hrdgometer(mispelled😂 I should have had one already..My bad I don't.. It is def cooler outside the enclosure.. the substrate isn't damp.. It seemed to fog up when I slid the doors open and now it's just on the polycarbonate( not plexiglass).. I have heard that high humidity isn't a terrible thing.. better higher then lower.. Thoughts on that? I am a freak when it comes to taking care of stuff.. I want it perfect and always seem to be worried

The coconut bedding is too wet. Also, as stated above if its hot inside and cool out you'll get some fogging. A lot of the substrate is pretty damp right out of the bag. Can you secure your snake in another container and give the enclosure an hour or two to air out? I have this on fresh setups sometimes. What I do is open the glass, throw a small fan in front or even inside the enclosure (of course the snake is removed before any of this occurs) and let it air out for about an hour.

I just got him this morning and didn't want to disrupt him.. I turned on the ceiling fan in the room to create a slight breeze in the room.. the fog seems to have gone away..
