Move up to small rats or double up on mice?

Hey all, my six(?) month old bp male got a large mouse last night and then was wiggling all around right after he ate, presumably looking for more. He was 324g on his last weigh in last week or so, the small rats are about 50g each. I think that's technically more than the correct proportions for food, and I don't want to overfeed him and cause him distress or get him fat. The mice are probably 25-30g each. Thoughts?

At that size I think a rat pup or weaned rat would be best if you can find them. 50 grams seems too big still

My 300g boy is on pups right now. He's growing like a weed so I'll keep him on those until his growth slows a little, then I'll move him to weaned rats. I don't feed small rats until they hit 500g.

My 8 month old, around 200g male, is on rat pups one week then f/t large mice the next. Voracious appetite, wont turn up his nose to anything, he's my lil vaccum ♡. Eventually moving him up to small rats when he seems to have the size to handle them.

I was looking for rat pups but they all come in bulk with 25+ items, and it's certainly not cheap, especially for me to be buying it and then not using a bunch when he outgrows them.
