Is my female close to laying?
I started breeding my balls this season and I'm pretty sure she's gravid, she locked approximately 7 times, hasn't ate since January and she has been showing Signs of being close to lay like coiling perfectly on the hotspot, twisting her body in weird positions and she is huge and lumpy, as in I think I can actually see the shape of the eggs. I can't feel any eggs it's all soft and I missed ovulation but lately she is not coiled on the hotspot, rather she borders the outside of the hotspot and doesn't coil at all, she is moving around a lot though. Today is 30 days after her last she'd I'm not sure if she is going to lay, what kind of behavior do gravid females show if they were to lay in a few hours?

You should be able to feel the eggs if she's about to lay any day now. They usually do start shifting around more right before laying and sounds like you could have eggs in the next few days if that was a prelay shed. I'd just leave her alone besides a quick peak to see if she's laid yet.

I can feel the shape of the eggs but they are soft, sounds like a plan, thanks for the advice
